Automobiles in German City Found Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police Report

Authorities stated they were alerted by a individual who discovered a car in Hanau marked with reddish substance

Roughly 50 automobiles have been covered with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Vehicles, walls and mailboxes were defaced, occasionally with swastikas, they stated in a official communication.

Law enforcement say they were contacted during the night on Wednesday, when a man discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been applied in the form of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Police then found multiple other vandalized cars and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations banning the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement report initial examinations show the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no lead as to its origin; officials are presently not cognizant of any harm in connection with the occurrence," they added.

City officials stated they were working "to resolve the incident" and have requested to the public for tips.

An important representative stated the attack left him speechless and required to be solved quickly.

"This act strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on social media, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a shooter focusing on people of foreign heritage in 2020.
