I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
